 | Janet Naclia, Assistant DirectorJanet Naclia received a Bachelor Degree in Art & Design in 1996 from the University of Alberta and a Master Degree in Art History from the
University of Toronto in 1998. After working in various commercial contemporary art galleries in Toronto, Janet moved overseas to spend three
years in Ireland. While living in Belfast, she was the Administrator for the Queen Street Studios and Gallery. Janet also worked on a curatorial
project commissioned by the Cavan County Council regarding the exhibiting potential of their public spaces.
Janet is also an experienced public lecturer and writer. While in Belfast, Janet hosted a series of exhibition talks at the Ormeau Baths Gallery,
Ireland, as well as a series on curatorial strategies for the Basement Gallery in Dundalk, Co. Louth.
Janet, also a well respected columnist has written reviews on art for Canadian Art Magazine, SWERVE Magazine, and CIRCA: Ireland's Magazine on
Contemporary Art. Janet was also an arts writer for the Calgary Herald.
Janet is currently on the steering committee for Exposure 2007: the Calgary/Banff Photography Festival.
