Artist Statement

Karine Léger is a Canadian artist based in Montreal, Quebec. At once minimalist and rich in material presence, her paintings evoke mental landscapes where gesture and intuition merge into a language of sensitivity. For Léger, deconstruction becomes a path to reconstruction; a meditative search for harmony between what is seen and what is felt.
