Artist Statement

Canadian visual artist Franco DeFrancesca explores digital and mixed media to create his abstract artworks. DeFrancesca considers himself a painter, using new media to investigate the links between art, memory, history and technology. As a result, mixing these references to photography and painting, DeFrancesca’s multi-media artworks represent reflections on contemporary visual culture, charmed by minimalism, modernism, technology and futurism.
